FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If you have a question not answered here, feel free to reach us through our contact page or ask any of our sisters. We will be more than happy to help you!

WHAT IS RUSH WEEK?

Rush Week, also known as Membership Recruitment Period, is when interested students can attend KLD events to get to know the members and values of the sorority. Rush Week events are always free and occur a couple weeks into Fall & Spring semester; KLD Rush does not occur the same time as Panhellenic Rush.

WHAT IS PLEDGING?

During a whole semester of pledging, pledges of Kappa Lambda Delta will learn the traditions and
history of our sorority as well as build the bonds of sisterhood through social events, community
service, fundraising, etc. Once a pledge has completed all of the requirements and has shown to
meet the standards, she will be able to “crossover” and become an active member. In doing so, she
will now be able to wear our letters.

WILL PLEDGING COST ANY MONEY?

The sorority has semester dues that can be paid in payments if necessary (please speak to the treasurer), but there is no fee for attending interest events.

HOW MUCH TIME WILL I NEED TO COMMIT?

Like any other extracurricular activity, it is up to you how much time you devote to pledging- the
more you put in, the more you get out. Pledging does take time, but it is definitely manageable,
even with a busy schedule. We understand that we are all here at TCU for an education and at no
time will we ask you to compromise your academic goals. A calendar of events will be given to you
as soon as you have become a pledge, but you are to be responsible for studying ahead of time and
managing other activities in order to participate in events held by KLD.
